To persuade someone to do something by trickery

Sample Usage

Sample 1:
The workers claimed that they were bamboozled into participating in the strike by a section of the union members.

Explanation: The workers themselves did not want to participate in the strike but a section of the union members made them participate in it by tricking, cajoling them to agree.
You bamboozle someone into accepting something when it is not their own wish but you make them agree by persuading them by any means, for instance, by sentimental arguments or by verbal persuasion skills.

Sample 2:
Knowing fully well that the officer would not accept his proposal, he decided to bamboozle him into agreeing for his proposition.
