Is it OK to say ‘discuss about something'? Although we have often seen people say,' I would like to discuss about this problem', it is not grammatically acceptable.

You usually ‘discuss something'; you do not ‘discuss about' something. Remember the word ‘discuss' is not followed by ‘about'.
On the other hand, ‘discussion' can be followed by ‘about'.

Sample Usage

We will not discuss about what happened at the meeting today. (Incorrect)

We will not discuss what happened at the meeting today. (Correct)

There will be no discussion about what happened at the meeting. (Correct)
