This word represents the state of the mind of a person where he is completely involved in his current activity, is engrossed in it and has no attention to any activity going on around him.

Absorbed can also be cross referred to as Absent minded ness, brooding, disposed to fancies, day-dreaming, meditation or theorizing.


Sample Usage

1. Harry was absorbed in his thoughts when suddenly the good news came in.

2. Sachin was so absorbed in his results while crossing the road, that he did not hear the car honking and coming to a screeching halt.

3. The rope walker was a real absorber of Enrique's mind which he had never seen before in his life.
