"Amiable" = Good-natured; Kind-hearted; Easy and pleasant to talk to.
Noun: Amiability or Amiableness
Adverb: Amicably

"Amicable" = (In a)peaceful or friendly way.
Noun: Amicability or Amicableness
Adverb: Amicably

"Amiable" is generally applied only to people(though sometimes it may be used for occasions), while "Amicable" is applied to human interactions and their outcomes.

Amiable: 1. He is liked by all for his amiabiable nature.

2. Sachin has been the most amiable of men throughout his illustrious career.
3. The atmosphere in a cricket field may not always be amiable, particularly during close and tense encounters.

Amicable: 1. The neighbours resolved their dispute amicably.

2. He resigned from his previous job under amicable circumstances, and therefore his previous employer still likes him.

3. The two warring nations could not come to an amicable settlement and as a result the UN had to interfere.
