Talk in riddles - Just think of what would happen if you do not talk to someone directly, clearly and openly, and keep on confusing him. It means the same here. This idiom means to talk in such a way which is not easy for others to understand and maybe they get annoyed also.


Sample Usage

1. Please do not talk with me in riddles, talk straightway.
2. I am not talking in riddles honey; I have made it clear before you.
3. He always speaks foul English and it appears to others that he talks in riddles.
