Discreet is an adjective.
Meanings: tactful; careful; diplomatic; judicious; prudent.

Discrete is an adjective.
Meanings: detached; distinct; separate.




Sample Usage

1. The film star was discreet in his replies during the interview and did not give any answer that would create a controversy.

2. Despite the two sisters being twins, they were discrete in their dressing style.

3. When dealing with complaints, it is always better to be discreet and one must keep in mind that each member is discrete from another.
