Difference between Immanent, Imminent and Eminent

Immanent meanings: within; inherent.

Imminent is an adjective.
Meanings: about to happen; coming up; impending; in the pipeline.
- Antonym is distant.

Eminent is an adjective.
Meanings: well-known; renowned; important; distinguished; famous; reputed; prominent.

Examples of Immanent:
1. A pearl is an immanent aspect of an oyster.
2. Self-written articles are immanent features of India Study Channel.

Examples of Imminent:
1. The high winds and sand storm indicated an imminent cyclone.
2. Fresh elections were imminent in the light of the scandal associated with the present Chief Minister.

Examples of Eminent:
1. Eminent Dental Surgeons attended the conference on oral hygiene.
2. The college Principal decided to invite the eminent University Professor as a guest for the annual prize-giving function.
