Difference between Incredible and Incredulous

Incredible is an adjective.
Meanings: difficult to believe; implausible; far-fetched; absurd. Antonym is credible.

Incredulous is an adjective.
Meanings: doubtful; dubious; unconvinced; skeptical
- Antonym is credulous.


Sample Usage

Examples of Incredible:
1. The athlete's sudden wins in every competition was an incredible performance.
2. The businessman thought it incredible that his rival could amass such a great fortune in just one month.

Examples of Incredulous:
1. The school principal was incredulous at the laid back attitude of the trustees.
2. The boss looked incredulously at his Accounts Manager when he was told that the audit reports were not yet ready; after all he had given the Manager enough time to get the reports prepared .
