Deprecate and Depreciate are often commonly confused words, but have different meanings and usage.

Deprecate is a verb.
Meanings: denounce; deplore; criticize; condemn; speak out against
Antonym: approve

Depreciate is a verb.
Meanings: decrease in value; reduce; decline; run down; downgrade
Antonym: appreciate




Sample Usage

Examples of Deprecate:
