Verity means the quality of being true or real.

Verity is a noun.

Synonyms: reality, truth, veracity, reality, truthfulness.

Antonyms: deceit, inaccuracy, fabrication, fiction.

Note: Verity and veracity both refer to the quality of being in accordance with truth. Verity often implies an enduring or repeated demonstration of truth. Veracity refers to adherence to the truth.

President Abraham Lincoln was known for his veracity.

Many think that the existence of God is an absolute verity.
