The two words "canvas" and "canvass" are mostly confused with one another. We must remember that "Canvas" is a noun and "Canvass" is a verb.
Canvas means:- 1.A closely woven, heavy cloth of cotton, hemp, or linen, used for tents, sails, etc. 2.A piece of this or similar material on which a painting is made.
Canvass means: 1.To solicit votes, subscriptions, opinions, or the like from. 2.To examine carefully; investigate by inquiry; discuss; debate.
