Look forward to

Phrasal verbs are often used when we communicate. I would like to present a phrasal verb, to look forward to, with explanation.

look forward to means to wait anxiously for something or somebody.

For Example: When we end the letters for which you require a reply, you can write : I look forward to receiving your early reply.

I like to celebrate Diwali. I am looking forward to the festival.


Sample Usage

Children like gifts. They always look forward to the gifts.
My friend comes to India from America once in a year. I am looking forward to her visit.
