Usages of 'absolute'

Absolute is an adjective.
Absolute means complete and perfect. The word absolute has different usages in different sentences. Absolute also means 'not allowing any doubt' while one meaning of absolute also refers to 'having complete power without any limit'.
Absolute also means 'not measured by comparison with other things'. In English, a single word can have many meanings in different sentences and the word absolute is a good example of the same.


Sample Usage

1. Who made this absolute nonsense project ?
2. She is a women of absolute honesty.
3. The general's powers were absolute.
4. In absolute terms, wages have risen, but not in comparison with the cost of living.
