Difference between 'Imaginary' and 'Imaginative'

Imaginary
Imaginary is the opposite of real and means 'existing only in the mind or imagination'.

Imaginative
Imaginative means 'full of imagination'.

Imaginary

Imaginative
1. He is an imaginative man and can write beautiful lyrics.
2. This essay is interesting and imaginative.
