Difference between 'Metal' and 'Mettle'

Metal
Metal is usually 'shiny' or 'that can conduct heat and electricity and can be hammered into shape or drawn out in sheets'.

Mettle
Mettle means spirit, courage.


Sample Usage

Metal
1. Gold,silver and iron are all metals.
2. Brass is a metal made from copper and zinc.
3. Iron is a kind of metal.

Mettle
1. Show your mettle by fighting against your enemies.
