Rout is the defeat of an army, or crowd of revellers.

Route
Route is the course followed in journey.


Sample Usage

Rout
1. A small bound of trained European soldiers put the army of Nizam on the rout.

Route
1. I do not know what route the army will follow for going to Baluchistan.
2. Our route took us through the mountains.
