Difference between 'Same' and 'Similar'

Same
Same means identical.

Similar
Similar means 'only indicates likeness'.




Sample Usage

Same
1. I am the same man whom you helped once some two years back.
2. Two girls of the same age.
3. The same rules as before.

Similar
1. My brother is similar to me in many respects.
2. Similar food at similar prices.
3. They wore similar coats.
