Several companies recruit new faces round the year to meet their requirements. The first few days at office for a newly joined employee is like a person in an unknown world. It is important that he/she is made to feel at home and often it is the responsibility of the project seniors or organisation's seniors to guide him on his first day. Apart from the personal welcome, a good option is to write a welcome email to that employee as soon as he/she joins a project in the organisation.
I have written a sample welcome email below:-
Hello (Employee name),
Hope you are doing fine. On behalf of (organisation name)/(project name), I welcome you to the group. We are a closely knit group and the organisation/project members will help you out in every possible way.
Please allow yourself to settle down nicely and feel free to ask others for any help. I have attached the first day induction document for a new employee along with this email. It is a self-explanatory document containing details of all the things you would need to get started and also all the right contacts. Kindly go through it in detail and let us know in case of any discrepancies.
Once again, I welcome you to our (organisation)/(project) family and now you are one of us. So, I am confident that you would put your best foot forward and deliver quality results for us. All the Best!
