Simile

When a direct comparison is made between two objects of different kinds which have at least one point in common, it is called Simile. We use 'AS', 'LIKE' and 'SO' to make a Simile.

Sample Usage

1) Love swells like the Solway, but ebbs like its tide.
2) The moon came up like Silver steeped in blood.
3) Mute as a mouse in a comer the cobra lay.
4) Sighing like furnace.
5) Creeping like a snail.
6) As proud as a peacock.
7) As clear as crystal.
8) As good as gold.
9) White as meal the frosty field -The frosty field is compared to white flour.
