Homophones - Part 3

This is the second set of the most common homophones which I am going to talk about in the sample usages. Please consider reading them and learning the differences. I hope you will not make mistakes in usage of at least these set of words, called homophones.

Sample Usage

Pray & Prey

Pray - To make an imaginary talk with the God
Prey - Hunted animal.


Point - A small spot almost circular and is a geometrical term.
Point - To show someone something
Point - Sharp.

Fore & Four

Fore - Previously
Four - A number

Deed & Did

Deed - A piece of work already done or to be done.
Did - Past tense of do.

Fool & Full

Fool - An abuse to describe a person or organism which is stupid.
Full - Complete or filled.

Beat & Beet

Beat - To hit someone.
Beet - A type of eatable.

Wind & Wind

Wind - A flow of air.
Wind - To turn or revolve.

Son & Sun

Son - A male human offspring.
Sun - The ultimate source of solar energy.

Bet & Bed

Bet - Challenge
Bed - A furniture to sleep on.

Foot & Foot

Foot - Leg
Foot - A unit of length measurement.
