Difference between Exalt and Exult

Exalt is a verb. Meanings: praise; applaud; acclaim; laud
- Antonym is disparage.

Exult is a verb. Meanings: revel; take pride; rejoice; triumph
- Antonym is lament.


Sample Usage

Examples of Exalt:
1. Past and present cricketers exalted Sachin Tendulkar's milestone of twenty years in the sport.
2. The town's residents exalted Jacob's presence of mind in preventing the accident.

Examples of Exult:
1. Tanisha's parents exulted in their daughter's success in the CAT exam.
2. The entire country was exulted when Abhinav Bindra brought home India's first Olympic gold medal.
