Dissuade is to advice or persuade against something.

Dissuade is a verb.

Synonyms: discourage, disincline, advise against.

Antonyms: encourage, persuade, advise in favor of.


Sample Usage

It would take a great deal of money and a corner office to dissuade Mr.Naveen from retiring early.

I have made up a decision and no one can dissuade me from my plan.
