Point well taken

"Point well taken" is an everyday expression which means that you are fully agreeable to the point stated by somebody else. Generally, this expression is used even if what the other person stated is actually in opposition to your own viewpoint.

Note: Point well taken should not be confused with Duly Noted.


Sample Usage

1. When the member complained about the rude response of the Editor, the Editor apologised and wrote back, stating "Point well taken. In future I will tone down my responses."

2. When Rahul's father admonished him not to spend extravagantly, Rahul said "Yes, Dad, point well taken. I realise that I should not fritter away my hard-earned earnings."

3. Although Mrs. D'Souza was the Senior Manager, she had no hesitation in acknowledging the flaws pointed out by the junior executive in the soon-to-launched advertisement. She told him "You're right actually. Point well taken."
