Jump to conclusions: It means to make a judgement without much thought. It means one should not take hasty decisions.

For example: Some people do not analyse the proper cause before coming to a conclusion.

Rani blamed her servant for the theft of her wrist watch and fired her. In fact,it was her driver who had stolen it. Rani jumped to the conclusion because the driver very rarely enters the house whereas the servant is always present at home.

Therefore, we can say- Rani jumped to the conclusion in judging the person who stole her wrist watch.



Sample Usage

Sometimes, people pay a high price for jumping to conclusions while judging serious matters.

Whenever you deal with matters relating to investment, you should not jump to conclusions.
