Difference between 'Seek' and 'Search'

To seek is to look for something that is hidden or absent.

To search means to look round,to find,also to examine,to inspect.

Sample Usage

1. Only the seeker findeth truth.
2. You should seek your lawyer's advice.

1. The police searched the office of the labour union for two hours.
2. Her search did not take long.
