Difference between 'Sensual','Sensuous' and 'Sensational'

Sensual
Sensual means 'appealing to the baser senses'.

Sensuous
Sensuous is used in a good sense and means 'pertaining to this senses'.

Sensational
Sensational means 'exciting'.


Sample Usage

Sensual
1. He is a vile sensual beast.
2. Sensual pleasures.

Sensuous
1. Keats is the most sensuous of all the English poets.
2. Her sculptures have a sensuous quality.

Sensational
1. He made a sensational discovery.
2. A sensational piece of news.
