    Is there any cure for Rheumatoid Arthritis?

    Hi!

    Is there any cure of Rheumatoid Arthritis. My mother is facing this from a long time and all the body parts are getting distorted.

    Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory joint disease with a multisystem involvement.
    female are affected 3 times more often than male.
    YES, there is absolute cure for rheumatoid arthritis .
    MANAGEMENT OF RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS.
    rest and splinting of joint should be instituted in acute stage of disease.
    active and passive physiotherapy help in mobilizations and prevention of contractures.
    1)Analgesic like NSAID, aspirin, they acts by suppression of inflammation.
    2)Disease modifying antirheumatic drug(DMARDS)
    Hydroxychloroquine
    D-penicillamine
    Sulphasalazine
    Methotrexate
    Leflunomide
    DMARDS reduce inflammation and prevent damage to joints ,bone,and ligament.these agent take 3-4 month before their full effect.
    3)BIOLOGICAL RESPONSE MODIFIERS
    newer agent that block specific immune factor leading to RA.
    anti-TNF -alpha antibodies include infliximab and etanercept.
    interleukin -1 receptor blocker include anakinra.
    Rituximab an anti -CD20 antibody which block CD20 present on B cells.
    4)IMMUNOSUPRESSANT
    this is third line t/t drug.
    5)CORTICOSTEROID
    used in acute stage of disease.

    But my only thought was to know if there is any institute or medicine which can cure this disease which is so long and body parts are already distorted.

    I doubt the medicines you have described may contain steroids.

    Let me start with the goodnews.. there are better disease modifying medications available now for patience. Your doctor may prescribe you those drugs or surgery depending on the condition. The right specialist to approach will be a rheumatologists and if not, a general medicine doctor.

    Alternate will be to look at Ayurveda, which seems very effective in these conditions. I would suggest you consult Kerala Aryurveda Pharmacy branch nearby.
