The Cricket World Cup 2015 will begin from 14 February 2015 and will be closed by 29 March 2015 with the final match. This time world cup cricket will be organized by Australia & New Zealand jointly. A total number of 49 matches will be played in the world cup 2015, where 26 matches will be played in Australia at various stadiums Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Whereas 23 matched will be played in New Zealand in seven cities like Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Napier, Nelson and Wellington.
In general, as per ICC rules and regulations, top 10 best playing teams or nations get qualify for the World Cup Cricket. However there was a big controversy with this matter and finally it was decided that total 14 nations will participate in 2015 world cup. There are two types of members in 2015 world cup, one is full members and the other is associate or affiliate members. There will be 10 full members or teams and 4 associate teams will play in this tournament. Under the associate member, Ireland already qualified for the world cup 2015, but the rest 3 members are not yet finalized as qualification process is going on.
There will be two groups, group A & group B. Under group A, the teams will be England, Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Bangladesh, qualifier2, qualifier3. Under group B, the teams will be India, Pakistan, South Africa, West indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland and Qualifier4.
The broadcasting right of Cricket World Cup 2015 is already sold for $2 billion to ESPN, Star Sports & Star Cricket. The TV channels from various countries from Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangaldesh, England, West Indies, Zimbabwe to broadcast the cricket world cup 2015 not yet finalized.
