  • You have to have basic followed by advance knowledge about information technology. Having B.Com. background is no hurdle. You have to have aptitude, knowledge of the subject, determination and patience to first concentrate on acquiring basic knowledge and clearing fundamentals. It depends on at what level you find yourself fit in the overall picture. At data entry level too, room may be there in these fields. Other outer edge is boundary less. One fits at research end too which is creation of further knowledge in the field.
To begin with carry on your own research on net. There is no magic wand with forums like ISC to make you a data analyst or business analyst or big data specialists without yourself doing necessary ground work followed by hard work in your chosen field.

  • Q-1) As a commerce graduate can I make a career in bid data? I also did not have maths as a subject in H.S.C? So can I make a career in it?
Yes, you can make a career in Analytics domain. You can try some courses with no prerequisite.

Q-2) I have good analytical skills. I took an aptitude test some years ago and i got the highest marks in analytical reasoning? However i received poor marks in numerical skills? Does one need to be good at maths to make a career in these industry.

I have met people who have got great grades in Math but failed terribly while applying those concepts. So I think if you are good with certain concepts of analytics you can do well

Q-3) Are the terms "bid data analytics" and business analytics" one and same or are they different professions?
    Pretty much the same.

Q-4) Which are best institutes in in Mumbai to offer courses in these field and what are starting salary and scope in these field?

Instead of going with Training institutes I suggest you to try some free e-learning courses. One of the answers has a lot of companies in that space, I don't know if those are free. You can actually look at https://www.mooc-list.com/, http://learn.analyttica.com/ for free courses

Starting salary would be from 6,50,000 onwards.
