    Is eating nuts like almond or walnuts beneficial for heart?


    Wondering whether nuts are truly beneficial for the heart? Find out from experts whether indeed it is so and how best to eat them.

    It is said that eating nuts like almond or walnuts daily is beneficial for the heart. Is it really so? How such nuts should be eaten i.e. whether in whole form or in powdered form and whether after soaking in water the previous night or as it is? Please offer detailed guidance.

    Benefits of walnuts
    Walnuts are rich in rare amino acids and antioxidants. Antioxidants prevents oxidation of tissues thus it prevents damage and aging of body tissues so our body remains young. The amino acids in walnuts are very rare which are not usually available with other natural foods. Walnuts help in weight loss. An amino acid present in walnuts are good for heart and prevents cardiovascular diseases. Walnuts contain omega-3 fatty acids (mainly alpha linolenic acid) which are very beneficial for heart health. It can prevent heart diseases due to high cholesterol. It also contains proteins, fiber, phosphorous and magnesium. It is also helpful in prevention of cancer.
    Benefits of almonds
    Almonds are rich in proteins, which is essential for growth and development of cells and tissues. It also contains vitamin E, vitamin B12 and other micro elements. Eating almonds also helps to reduce sugar level in blood thus helps in diabetics to control their sugar levels.

    We can take dry fruits in any form either dry or soaked in water but when we take soaked ones they are easily digestible and the percentage of absorption is more. In dry form they are crispy and palatable compared to wet or powdered form.

In the same way walnuts give same, but more than almonds to the heart like to maintain b.p and cholesterol level and improve cardiovascular activities. Both are the Antioxidant food.
    Now your other problem that which form is more better to digest easily. So the roasted nuts can easily digest to compare its raw form, yes, we can eat both the forms because we chew nuts in a good way, but kids do not. So powdered form is better for children. Now we put more efforts so the water soaking nuts are to be digestible and have more nutrient for all ages of people. But in a high quantity of nuts can be harmful because almonds and walnuts high calories. So we need to take it in a low proportion according to our age.
