The author has following options. However, it will depend on degree of his commitment and his hard work, dedication, motivation, focus and sincerity of approach -

    1. Chartered Accountancy is one of the best career options. The author may do introspection to know as to why he could not succeed so far and make rejuvenated efforts to clear the same.

    2. The minimum eligibility criteria for appearing in the coveted Civil Services Examination conducted by the UPSC for recruitment of Group A and Group B services is a graduation degree only. In addition to that, the Staff Selection commission also conducts competitive examinations for recruitment to the various posts/services in the Central Government. The author may visit the websites of the UPSC and SSC for knowing full details and try to crack such examinations. Similarly, the various State Public Service Commissions also conduct competitive examinations for recruitment to various posts.

    3. In the banking sector, the minimum eligibility criteria for recruitment to the posts of PO as well as Clerck grade is also a graduation degree. However, the concerned competitive examination is required to be cleared. The author may visit the website of the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for knowing further details.

    4. Yet another option is to complete vocational courses like office secretaryship, stenography and computer applications, accountancy and auditing , marketing and salesmanship etc. and find jobs in such sectors.

For commerce stream CA is a best option. You can try one more time by putting all efforts. I have completed the same. If not CA , then you can go for CS,CWA. That are equally good. You can directly join in some private company. Or learn accounting softwares like tally, it will fetch you a job. If you want to go for government sector job then prepare for ssc exams. Different banks in private and public you can apply.

Preparation for CA needs total devotion, your strong passion for commercial subjects such as Accountancy, Tax- calculation and a better grip over the other mathematical subjects including Integral and differential Calculas, Algebra, Arithmetic, Differential - equation and so on. Without having the the fundamentals on these subjects, success is not achievable in that direction. So, the pros and cons has to be weighed before you make a resolution to persue this course. You may enrol yourself in a distinguished Institute to have a better guide - line. You can take the help of Internet to locate one such Institute. Ensure that there is a session of doubt removing session so that your doubts relating to subjects are addressed there.
The other options are company - secretaryship and Banking jobs preparation. In these areas, success rate would be high if you do have interest in these directions.
If interested for the IAS examination, you can refer to the syllabus and prospectus of the same by referring to the office of Union Public Service Commission to know the details regarding that examination. SSC board conducts examination for clerical grades and other different examinations to fill up the different posts in the central Government - department.
If interested, you can take up higher studies such as M.Com so that you may try for the lecturership in a college by securing a minimum 55 percent mark in the said examination so that you would be eligible for the NET test and with the clearance of the same, you can serve in a constituent college as a lecturer and at later stage you would enjoy several promotion such as Asst. Professor, Professor, Head of the department etc with higher benifits in each elevation.

It's good to be graduated from the Delhi open university. Since its been specified as the open university the course may or may not be a Full time course. Most of the Chartered Accountant needs a full time degree course its best if you opt for a Master degree in the Full time Mode M.Com and study hard to clear it will good graduation. Find a job as the assistant to an Auditor and try to keep the work up until you clear your Chartered Accountant (intermediate). This will help you to know more about the accounts and become good after completing your Masters degree and clearing the C.A.( Intermediate).
The C.A. is a good course and it needs quick thinking in the auditing and accounting and business related accounts to understand and clear those. Practicing Maths, English, Computer application i.e., Tally software and uploading and knowing those would be help full to understand instead of only obtaining the theoretical knowledge. This will help you to pursue your dream career.
In mean time its good if you understand the Verbal and Analytical skills needed for the MNC's Companies that are good to keep you up and running in the dream career. As much as you learn and understand the corporate accounts, Business accounts, Profit and Loss accounts, Adjustment accounts the C.A. will be much easier to understand the answer the question quickly in order to save the time.
There are lots of opportunities related to the C.A., where you can know some competitive books and learn them for other options like Bank exams which is good and after obtaining a job also you will be able to perform you C.A. This will help you in the growth of your career.
