Any future in India for IGCSE syllabus students

Confused between IGCSE and CBSE curriculum? Wondering about the scope after XII IGCSE in India? Check out advice from experts on this page.

Presently we are in Abudhabi. We want our son (KG1) to study in British curriculum here in Abudhabi.
If we come back to India we want to continue in the same syllabus. After his 12th grade what is his future in India because all entrance exams based on CBSE syllabus.

If we move to CBSE syllabus is that good when we come back to India? We are very confused between British curriculum and CBSE syllabus.
    Do solve our confusion.

  • Generally all the competitive examinations (both Engineering and Medical entrance examinations) after X+II follow the CBSE syllabus. So, it would be prudent for students to shift to CBSE syllabus. If a student studies in CBSE-affiliated schools, then he/she doesn't have to study additional chapters for the purpose of these competitive examinations. However, in this connection, it must be mentioned that slowly and steadily ICSE/ISC and other provincial boards are also bringing their respective syllabus in conformity with the CBSE syllabus.

Beware! I question everything and everybody.
