Its good you are a post graduate in the Information Technology with a good percentage, that is more than eligible to get a job in the IT Company, with good pay. Most of the Top MNC's like TCS, Wipro, Infosys are looking for the talented as freshers who should have a eligibility of 60% in their 10th,12th, Under Gradudate, Post Graduate

Some of the other IT companies are also equivalent to the top MNC's do not mind about those except the candidate has to be a degree holder and the candidate should be able to fulfill the requirement in the English, Technical skills, Verbal and Analytical skills to get a job in their companies. The candidate should be able to understand the Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking in the English Language and any other languages also the candidate posses as an additional langugage apart from the mother tongue in order to the job requirement.
These candidates should be able to clear all the rounds of the interview the companies conduct and should be able to take marks upto their company policy requirement to order to fit in their software projects.
The candidate should also be capable of the Software Languages like C,C++, Visual C++,C#,,, HTML,XML. Java and the core java are one of the hottest field to get a higher pay. With these experience working in a software company for about two to three years the candidate can try the Top MNC's like
TCS, Wipro, Infosys if the candidate desires to work there. Experienced hand will be a good talented since the Top MNC's do not need to train them for the project requirement of theirs.

GATE exam is required for the higher educations like Post Graduate in the fields like Management, Applied science, research studies, and also for securing admission in one of the top most institutes like Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), National Institute of Technology (NIT) of any state or region, Birla Institute of Technology (BITS) Pilani, and other famous institutes for education in India and Indian institutes in abroad.

Even the GATE is also required for some Engineering jobs to know the ability of the candidate, and for quick answering in the field for the job the candidate is looking. Some of the foreign countries also accept GATE as a entrance along with their interview to test the candidate's talent for the job in their company. Even GATE is equivalent to Graduate Record Examination (GRE), Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)
for securing admission to the foreign universities in abroad, along with the English language Abilities like Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System(IELTS) to obtain the visas, either the student visa or work visa for that country.

The employers of IT companies look out the aspirants having exceptional abilities of the aspirants in understanding the computer - fundamentals and at the same time they are equally proficient in presentation - skill. However, the general qualification for entry in the Software - field for a candidate is a consistent first class marks in each examination from Matriculation to any one of the qualifying examination such as B.Tech/ MCA/ M.SC(IT). Then they have to undergo several rounds for the assessment of their attitudes, mental - frame, general intelligence and their sound fundamentals in the stream with which they were attached. Here one thing is to be noted that one may not be necessarily be a computer engineering graduate and even an aspirant having Civil- engineering or Mechanical - engineering backgrounds may be selected if one possesses high intellectual order.
Since you have indicated your marks in different stages of your career where even consistency in terms of marks is lacking. However your final result of M.Sc( IT) do indicate impressive marks and hence the employers of different IT companies such as Wipro, TCS, IBM, Cognizant etc would be pleased to recruit you if you have familiarity in one of the languages such as Visual - basics, Java, C++, Oracle, SAP,HTML etc. Does not matter the module in which you have procured certification, the most important being is the sound knowledge in your chosen language. The employers would remain in the comfortable position by recruiting an experienced technical hand thereby saving their expenditures which otherwise they would have invested in the training of a fresh candidate for the upgradation of requisite - skills.
The high percentile of GATE may prove to be hot cake for you since you would enjoy a special package by way of additional increments from the fortune IT companies.

Academics score is more important during campus placement only. Once you came out from college, though most of IT companies won't give much importance to academics during interview process but they have certain eligibility criteria like candidate should have minimum of 60% throughout his academics etc. Somewhat difficult for you to get in to top MNCs since you have secured less than 50% in your 10th and UG. Definitely your GATE score will be advantage for you but at the same time try to pick any front end / back end language and master yourself in it and be strong in basic concepts like OOPS, etc.

You have completed MSC IT. So you are eligible for the job in IT industry. The next step that naturally comes here is you able to crack the exam for the IT company. Most likely that should open the door for the first job for you. Do note that some companies may take into account, your past performance. As your 10th and 12th performance is going to be evaluated and then maybe some may not allow based on that. In such case however your first mode of action is to get the job in small scale company. From here onward you can gain some experience and then approach the MNC.

Do note that no matter which company you apply these days. You need to have some problem solving skills, understanding of atleast one programming language, know how to work with aptitude examples. Also it helps if you can solve the qualitative and quantitative examples. That can be deal breaker for most of the part. People are getting recruited based on those skills. So you should definitely consider getting hold of that too.

What I feel that the recruiting pattern of many companies have changed. They are not concentrating on the academic profile of any candidate instead they are more concentrating on extra activities, leadership qualities, and even sports. Most of the companies are recruiting new staff as trainees or freshers and they are given intense work out during the training period and even bonds are mutually agreed upon for a period. So you need not worry about your marks in the studies already done by you. What you need is the selection of your candidature by a company and thus starts your career from zero.
