    What all daily food that we consume can lead to cancer

    I have heard that the main reason for the increased number of cancer patients these days are due to the daily food that we consume. We might not be aware about this as it was being consumed from our elder generations. But there are other food products and fast foods that are introduced lately which can also cause as such. The generations have changed drastically and so is their lifespan. In old days our elders would remain as healthy as it was till the day they pass away.
    How come today's generations get bedridden by the age of 70's. Also the number of diseases have also steadily increased. So I am raising this query to know in depth of what all are safe to consume and what not to? If possible then do compare the food habits that we have now with the former generations?

  • It is believed that there are certain artificially flavoured, processed and canned foods, hydrogenated oils which can be a trigger for starting cancer in people.

    The chemicals and preservatives in red meat, increased intake of liquors, high level of omega-6 fatty acids in hydrogenated oils, lining of canned foods with harmful chemical Bisphenol-A etc are having harmful and carcinogenic chemicals and can cause cancers in humans.

    As the artificially flavoured and processed items have increasingly been in use by most of the people today the increase of cancer is attributed to this new modern life style.

  • Generally we consume lot of junk food. When we go out we will get tempted to take mischi etc., on a road side. But they are very dangerous and may cause cancer also. The oil that is being used may not be of good quality and the oil will be boiled too much. Too many times eating these items will cause cancer.
    We eat lot of popcorn when we go to movies. Nowadays very big packets are sold. Microwaved popcorn will lead to cancer.
    Canned tomatoes, french fries,hydrogenated oils, processed meat, red meat, bread, refined sugar,salt processed foods and beverages will cause cancer. Alcohol will also cause cancer.
    Gutkha,cigarettes,chewing gums and tobacco products are not good and will give raise to cancer.

    5. Salted, Pickled, and Smoked Foods :- The additives used in processed foods can accumulate in our body such toxins cause damage at the cellular level which lead to diseases like cancer. When smoked foods are cooked at high temperatures.The nitrates in the food are converted to the much more dangerous nitrites which causes cancer.
    6. Refined Sugar :- Main cause of cancer is high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) and other refined sugars. These eed the growth of cancer cells.
    7. Soda and Carbonated Beverages :- Soda and Carbonated Beverages are filled with high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), dyes, and a host of other chemicals which cause cancer in our body.

  • Cancer is deadly disease which is threatening everyone in this world. But have we ever thought that during the days of our grandparents or way before them ,everyone was very healthy. I have certain points which I got about the lifestyle our ancestors had in the past.

    1. In the olden days , agriculture was given importance and everyone in their house had cattle which produced milk.And the milk was very natural as those cows were not given any injections. Milk is the basic cause for cancer because as we all know cancer is nothing but the abnormality in our DNA , that leads to enormous cell growth.
    So nowadays cows are injected to produce more milk and as a result these change the harmones of the cows. The milk they produce are consumed by us and this results in cancer in a later stage
    2. Indians are really blessed to have a well- organized diet in our culture which has been coined by our ancestors .But we do not follow it.
    3. Our grandparents have never used plastic containers or preserved food but we are surrounded by plastics which is made up of harmful chemicals like Bisphenol .
    4. If you have your grandparents just sit and spend time with them asking about their life , I can assure that cancer will never visit you in your life.
    5 Systematic diet plan and sufficient sleep was followed in those days ,which we are missing out.

    Cancer is caused because of known mistakes we do everyday and don't look after our body with care.
    If we follow a simple diet which our ancestors guided us and have a sufficient amount of sleep ,Cancer can be prevented.

    1. Processed Foods - They are so tasty and tempting but on the other hand they cause serious health issues. It is one of the major reasons why many get cancer these days. Say No to Processed food, Genetically modified foods, Canned food etc.
    2. Tobacco - Usage of cigarette and tobacco products is injurious to health. A person using these have more chances of getting cancer.
    3. Disposable Cups - Foam glasses should not be used for drinking hot water or hot drinks. In many articles I have read that it can cause severe cancer.
    4. Plastic Utensils - Never use plastic bowls, plates and spoons in your kitchen. It is better to use glass bottles to store stuffs. When certain chemicals in certain food materials like tamarind, turmeric etc or even hot water gets mixed with plastic, it can turn out to be harmful and can end up in caner.
    5. Charbroiled meat - Grilled food, smoked food and charbroiled meat is said to have an impact on females especially. Try avoiding such food to stay away from breast cancer.
    6. Beverages - Soda and other carbonated drinks like Pepsi, Cola etc can also get you cancer. These can also turn you into a diabetic patient easily.
    7. Maida - Maida is not good for health and it takes too much time to digest. Reports says that maida can cause cancer. Many sweets, parotta etc are made of maida.
    8. Too much intake of meat especially red meat should be avoided and have plenty of leafy green vegetables and drink sufficient water. It would be better if you get organic vegetables.
    9. Now even vegetables comes with tons of pesticides which in turn can cause cancer. Therefore soak the vegetable in a solution of water, turmeric powder and salt for at least half an hour before using it.
    10. Avoid eating from outside as you never know on the oil they use, the hygienic conditions there and the kind of food materials they use. It is always advisable to cook at home and eat to stay healthy.
