  • The procedure differs from bank to bank. But it is possible to do this. When you open the website and your account on your left-hand side a menu bar will come in which you will find this link author card. You click on that and the site itself will guide you until the end. I have done the same for my HDFC bank account.

  • The deadline to link Aadhaar card to bank accounts has been extended to 31st March 2018.
The procedure is slightly different for banks
If you have a registered and verified mobile number on which you are getting alerts then you can send an SMS and follow the instructions, please check the banks website
For instance for SBI Its SMS to 567676. Format is UIDspaceAadhaarnumberspaceacccountnuber
log on to the Online net banking
check for the drop menu which says
    customer service request
    Update details
    Update Aadhaar card details
    Aadhaar Card seeding

The reasons for unsuccesful link would be a wrong number entry, mismatch of the details given on the Aadhaar card and the details given to the bank. If you have such issues contact customer service of the respective bank.

  • Government of India made it mandatory to link Aadhar card number with bank accounts and the deadline given for this is 31 St March 2018.
And to link Aadhar card number with bank account online, the account holder must use internet banking or Mobile banking. We can also update Aadhar number through ATMs also.
And the rejection of Aadhar number will happen in some cases if the name of the account holder as per bank records differ from the name in Aadhar card. For this we have to go to bank branch and we have to submit the photocopy of Aadhar card. And account holder must carry the original Aadhar card because bank staff will check the original document then only they will take the photocopy.

  • There are many ways by which you can link your aadhhar number with bank account. You can do it online as well as offline through SMS. If you use net banking then its easy to link your aadhhar with bank account. Just follow the step through personal banking or net banking. First login to your bank account. After login at the left side under profile there are many options one is update Aadhaar card details or Aadhaar card seeding. Click on that option and enter the required card details. Click on submit button you'll get a One time password(OTP) on your mobile number message inbox. Verify through the OTP and your Adhaar card will be linked to your account number. If mobile number you've provided at the time of making an account in bank is not in use then you can also change your mobile number online through net banking.
You can also confirm that your Aadhar is linked with bank or not just by Dialing a USSD *99*99# in your cell phone. It works only if the number is registered in any bank.
You can also do it offline through just sending an SMS with your Aadhaar number. I think offline procedure is differs from bank to bank and you did not specify the name of the bank.
