    Home remedies for skin itching?

    Suffering from skin itching? Searching for home remedies and precautionary measures to resolve this issue? Find advice from experts on this page.

    During summer and especially during rainy season we get itching on skin which sometimes is associated with rashes or blisters. This causes a lot of inconvenience and discomfort. Itching or rubbing the affected parts further worsens the situation.

    Can anyone tell me what are the precautions to avoid this and what are the home remedies to treat this skin condition?

  • Wear clothes made from smooth fabrics and washcloths in a mild detergent.Avoid exposing your skin to any substances that could cause an allergic reaction such as metals, perfume, and beauty products. Use a high-quality skin moisturizer. Following are few home remedies you can use:
    1.Making a paste of sandalwood or using sandalwood oil on the itchy areas of skin to cool the skin and offer some relief. Similarly, the oil of neem leaves can provide the same benefits against the itchy and dry skin. Neem powder had orally also prevented skin infections that may result in itching.
    2. Drink a glass of aloe vera juice.
    3. An effective natural treatment for itchy skin is to mix equal quantities of linseed oil and lemon juice and apply this lotion to the skin to cure itchiness.
    4. Use herb jewelweed as per the recommendation of herb therapists.
    5. Soaking in a bath of lukewarm water with oatmeal or cornstarch added can help reduce itching and swelling of the skin.

  • There are many natural home remedies by which you can prevent skin itching & skin rashes. Itching of the face is something that every person experience often on a frequent basis. Environmental problems like dust, dirty things, pollution and exposure to the sun can causes itchy face skin. Sometimes cosmetics things irritate the skin and cause allergies of the facial skin.     1. Lemon : Apply lemon juice onto the affected area with clean hands. Once the juice dries, you can wash your face with cold water. Repeat this twice a week for a best results.

    2. Tulsi leaves : Boil a few of these leaves in water then take take a cloth and dip it into the empty pot and apply it the affected area.

    3. Apply some petroleum jelly on the skin and leave it on overnight. Rinse the next morning with any perfum free mild face wash.

  • There are many methods to address this problem. The main reason for this itching is dry skin. In winter season the humidity will be less in the atmosphere. So skin will get dried easily and will cause itching. The best way is to apply vaseline to the skin and using Sun resistant lotion to the face. Coconut oil is the best remedy for this. In the evening before you go for a bath apply coconut oil and wait for half an hour. Then you can go for a bath. That will give you a good skin. Another option is to apply olive oil. In addition to this two vaseline after the bath is good for avoiding this skin itching.
    Try to use soft clothes and cotton clothes in summer. Use prickly heat powder in summer. That will give you a better skin.
