Want to edit date of birth in RRB JE form

RRB JE is the exam for various posts of junior engineers and other equivalent level posts in Indian Railways and now a days the aspirants are applying for the 2019 year recruitment. You have submitted incorrect year. How much wrong is it? Does it disqualifying you as per the age criterion? If not then follow 'A' below otherwise go to 'B'.

(A) Sometimes in the online forms due to technical glitches it is not possible to correct the data which you have submitted. As you have submitted the modification fee then you can now inform them about this. There must be some communication channel or email in their site for this and you can inform them about this error so that at the time of document verification it will be corrected.

What I will suggest is take a screen shot of the screen where your modification fee payment is accepted or acknowledged and the last screen where it is not taking correction. Take a print of those and keep with you.

Meanwhile make a physical application mentioning this and enclose the copy of those screen shots and send by registered post to -

Keep a copy of application and all these with you and appear in the exam. At the time of the document verification show it to them and correction will be made.

(B) If the birth year entered by you is disqualifying you from the exam itself then you have to send a different application to them at the same address as above to correct it in the system so that you can appear in the exam. Please send the screen shots plus your proof of age document like high school certificate or birth certificate copies with this application.

You can change the details you have entered in the application form. You cannot change the RRB?(region), email ID or mobile number once you have submitted the form. But other minor information can be corrected.
The procedure to be followed is

1. The applicant can do the modification by paying the modification fee of Rs.100 that is non-refundable.

2. If the community is to be changed from SC/ST to UR or OBC, he will have to pay the difference in examination fee of Rs.250 in addition to the modification fee.
3. The modification to the registration and application details can be done twice only,
4. Login at the official website of RRB using your registration number and password
5. Pay modification fee through any of the modes available for actual examination fee payment.
6. Click on the 'Modify Application' Button.
7. Change the date of birth correctly and then submit the application.
This is the procedure you have to adopt. Take screenshots of what response you are getting on the computer, the proof of your payment and a copy of the application can be sent to the concerned RRB.
8. If you are very serious about the job go to RRB and talk to the concerned and submit the above application in person and take the acknowledgement.

Till your eligibility of age limit affects you need not worry. At the time of verification of documents you can show the original and explain the same by producing the proof of your correspondence. They will correct the same. But there are chances of disqualifying your application by showing carelessness while applying. However, it is a lesson to you to take extra care while filling applications and forms.

1. You can correct your Date of Birth by paying the modification fee of Rs. 100/-.

2. After logging in the RRB Website, you have to go to 'Modify Application', click the button and make the necessary changes in the Date of Birth.

3. Please remember that modification can be done only twice and not more than that. So, before clicking the 'Modify Application' button, check all entries very carefully.

It happens sometimes that correction cannot be taken up in on - line application due to the technical glitch but since you have already submitted the fee against the correction of your date of birth. Retain this as a source of proof.
You have to write an application to the Board indicating the actual error( in your case - the date of birth) and apprise them of your inability to rectify the same. Inform the Board the actual date of birth. Keep the acknowledgement received from the Railway - board so as to produce it before the officials of the documentation - authority.
