  • The cut off announced for NEET 2019 is 134 for unreserved category while for OBC, SC and ST category it is 107. As your sister has got a score of 267, she stands a bright chance to get admission in a Medical College. The chances will be more in getting a seat in a medical college in ones state. For that one has to register in MCC (Medical Counseling Committee) site for counselling. Please do it quickly as there will be a few rounds of counselling and one should not miss the initial rounds. Generally there will be a mop up round also where reverted seats or remaining seats against quotas are released. That will be the last round. Depending upon your state rank and overall NEET rank you will be provided a seat in one of the state medical colleges. If one wants to get admission in another state then one will be considered against the 15% quota which is earmarked for other state candidates on all India basis. If the seats are filled in first round then one can attend the second and subsequent rounds. Once a seat is allotted one will get a reporting letter and will have to pay the university fees.

One will have to take the educational documents and produce them during counselling. These are NEET 2019 Admit Card, NEET Score/ Rank Letter, Class 10 certificate and mark sheet (for date of birth), Class 12 certificate and mark sheet, ID proof (Aadhar/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport), Eight passport size photographs and Caste Certificate (if applicable).

Regarding the Andaman & Nicobar Medical College one has to apply against the 15% quota for outside states and as the seats are limited (100 Nos.) and various reservations are there, it will be difficult to get a seat there but if that college is mentioned in the counselling list one can show ones willingness to accept that if such an allotment is made to the candidate.

    Knowledge is power.

  • NEET 2019 is given a cut off mark for qualifying in the examination this year for OC candidates is 134. This is for the seats available in the unreserved category. The marks obtained by your sister are good. But if you see the rank it appears high. The chance of getting a seat in a medical college will be about 45 to 50%. In your own state, you will come as a local candidate and in other states, you will be a non-local. So chances of getting in other states are less and same is the case with Andaman and Nicobar also. The procedure for Andaman and Nicobar will be same as that of any other state. You get your sister's name in the MCC (Medical Counseling Committee) site immediately and it will guide you further.

  • NEET 2019 result has been published and per announcement the cut - off points for the unreserved category is 134 and for the reserved category candidates ie SC/ ST/ OBC candidates the same being 107. You have indicated the scorings of your sister and the same being 267 is indicative of her better performance.
She may expect a seat in her domiciled state in some government medical college. Since the scorings have gone high and so her chance of getting a seat is around 40 percent for the MBBS seat.
Your sister has to register her name in the Medical Councelling Committee site and she will be intimated to turn up for the counselling. She has to report there with her necessary documentations such as Aadhar Card, Photo - copies of Marks sheet of class ten and twelve, Proof of date of Birth and five sets of passport - size photographs etc. She should be prompt enough in her initiative to secure a seat.
Andman Nicobar medical colleges are outside of your state and hence you are eligible for 15 percent quota provision and the competition is stiff in getting a seat when the existing number is odd 100.
Hence make an effort to turn up for the counselling at the date specified for you and any failure to turn up on the same date will cause non - allotment of the seat for the Medical - course.
