  • Once you complete your B.Ed you will become eligible for KVS TGT posts. You can apply and get selected based on your performance in the written test and the interview. You have studied Economics, Hindi and English in your graduation. So in B.Ed, you can select Social studies and English as your subjects. Once you complete B.Ed with these two subjects, you will be eligible to apply for social teacher or English teacher posts.

  • If you have acquired 50% marks in your B.Com. degree then you are eligible to apply for B.Ed. course. You have to choose two subjects of your choice and as per your details you can choose them out of Economics, English and Maths. If some of them do not suit you then you have other options like Business studies, Social science, Environmental science etc to replace with.

Whatever subjects you want to choose for your B.Ed., choose them as per your interest and liking so that you can do hard work in them persistently during the B.Ed. course.

Once you complete your B.Ed. you are eligible to apply for KVS TGT exam for which you will have to prepare for a written test in General English, General Hindi, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Reasoning Ability, Computer Literacy and Pedagogy. This will be followed by an interview.

  • As you have not pursued Post-Graduation in Commerce or in any other subject of Humanities, I would suggest you not to choose Accounts as a teaching subject in B.Ed. You can choose Economics or Hindi as a teaching subject (because you have studied these two subjects at the Graduation level).

Yes, you can apply for TGT in Kendriya Vidyalayas after B.Com and B.Ed. But, I would suggest you to go for M.Com or M.A through correspondence for better chance of securing a teacher's job in the Government school.

  • The minimum condition to apply for the B.Ed examination is to secure an aggregate of 50 percent marks in your graduation level. While choosing the two subjects for your B.Ed cirriculam, you have to choose your best two subjects and in that way, Economics and Hindi can be preferred for the ultimate selection.
Once you complete the B.Ed course from any recognised university, you can apply for KVS TGT examination consisting of written papers of General English, Reasoning, Numerical ability and General - - knowledge, computer ability test etc apart from an oral interview. Finally you will be selected on the basis of your performance in both the two sittings.
To widen your prospects in the teaching line, it would be better to persue either M.A or M.Com depending upon your passion through IGNOU later on since this would allow you to prepare the subjects with your own available time apart from the quality course structure provided by the IGNOU.

  • As you would like to take up teaching as a profession, B.Ed will certainly help you.
