May be by going through your resume coupled with your deliberation, he would be ready to offer you teaching assignment in his school. However, with a low salary and less option of the future growth, this will impact your overhaul growth.
    2) You can start your career as a Demonstrator in the Computer- science Department in some private college on a part time basis and start preparing for M.E in the Computer - science. You will have to secure at least 55 percent marks so that you may appear in the NET test conducted by CBSE. You will be absorbed as a lecturer once you clear this test subject to your satisfactory performance in the oral test.
    3) You may appear in the GATE and with an impressive percentile beyond 95 percentile, you would be able to bag a seat in M.Tech in a coveted institution. Under that circumstances, you will be exempted from appearing NET and you can apply for the post of Lecturership in a constituent college and with your satisfactory performance in the final interview, you will be selected as a lecturer. Later, you can clear the Doctorate degree.
    4) You can get the job of PO by clearing the test for PO. It would be better if join a coaching institute so as to get specialised attention to clear both written and oral.
    5) Often there are vacancies of Data - programmers in the bank and you can apply for the same. Obtaining some experience in this line would be advantageous to you.
However, it would be better on your part to join some MNC company with your present qualification through the job - fare or through hiring agencies. Your line of promotion in TCS, Cognizant, Infosys will be substantial apart from fat pay - packet in a short span of time.

  • Yes. You need some special qualifications to become a teacher in government schools or colleges.
    1. After completing your B.E, you have to do your B.Ed. Once you complete your B.Ed you will be eligible for teacher post in primary schools and high schools.
    2. To become a junior lecturer you have to complete your ME/ MTech and the write the entrance test as to when the notification gets released by the State government in their colleges.
    3. If you want to teach in colleges first you should complete ME/MTech and then appear for the NET examination to get all the benefits of the government vacancy.
    4. If you want a job immediately in teaching you can join in some private college as a lecturer and while working there you can complete your M Tech. Once you complete M Tech you can appear for NET as mentioned above.
These are the ways you can get into a teaching job.
If you want to go for a bank job, you have to apply for that post as and when the advertisement comes and you have to clear the entrance test and interviews like any other graduate. You can opt for either officer post or a clerk post. Once you join there you can clear departmental examinations and you can grow fast. There are some exclusive jobs in banks for CS people and if you opt for those jobs your growth may be fast.

  • After doing engineering in computer science you want to get some job or make a career in teaching or banking sector. There are some opportunities which you can explore for this objective. Some of them are -

    1. Banking Sector - There are public sector banks as well as private banks where vacancies come up for recruitment to clerk and probationary officer positions. For public sector banks one has to qualify in the national level exam IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection). This exam is conducted in two stages preliminary and main exam followed by Interview. For appearing in this entrance exam one has to do preparation in subjects like English language, Numerical abilities, Quantitative aptitude, Reasoning, Data analysis, Computer aptitude, General economy and Banking awareness etc. Many people try for this exam and there is a big rush so one has to work hard to qualify for making a career in banking services. If you have doubt that you might not be able to prepare for this exam then you can join some coaching classes for the same also. For private banks one has to apply separately whenever posts are advertised in the newspaper or job portals.

    2. Teaching Field - Teaching is also a good career option and if you are thinking to make a career in teaching in schools then B.Ed. is a mandatory qualification and only after doing that you can apply for teaching. However there are some private schools which will hire computer engineers for teaching their students but the salary package will not be as that of regular B.Ed. teachers. Another possibility is go for M.Tech. and then qualify the NET (National Eligibility Test) and then apply for lecturer post in colleges or university.

There is yet another option in teaching area and that is to try to get a job in coaching centres or tutorial centres where there is a demand of good teachers and remuneration is also good.

    Knowledge is power.
