After passing the 12th standard with a minimum 50% marks from a recognised institute one can join in bachelor of physiotherapy (BPT). The admission will be based on the entrance test. One has to apply as per the procedure laid down by the institute and attend the entrance test. The admission will be based on the rank obtained in the entrance test. This is a full-time degree course and the course duration is four and a half years. There are another two similar courses. They are Bachelor of Occupational therapy (BOT)and Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics(BPO).
The syllabus will cover some of the subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Psychology, KiBiomechanics, Disability prevention etc.
After completing the above course one can opt for a job or can also go for higher studies like Post Graduation courses and Doctorate courses.
