What is the procedure to get admission in PhD when you have already cleared your NET entrance?

Every university has its own rule and regulation. Some university conduct test for getting admission in ph.d. Some university enroll their student on basis of P.G marks. In some university, if candidate are NET qualified then they can get direct admission in ph.d.

Each university will be giving an advertisement for admissions to Ph D. So you have to wait for the advertisement from the university where you want to get admitted. Before the advertisement comes also you can contact the department in which you wanted to do your research and contact the Professor under whom you want to work for your PhD. Generally, many universities will advertise and you may have to apply online and your guide name and the department also to be mentioned in that. Ultimately you will be granted fellowship from UGC or CSIR.
Some research laboratories such as Central Fuel Research Institute require scholars for perusing Ph.D where you will be supported by the competent guide. You will have to see such notifications for availing your intake in such a programme.
