    I want to get rid of pimple and acne marks


    Tired of pimple and acne marks? Know some self-tried best remedies for this most common skin problem from this page.

    I am 21 years old and i have got some pimple marks and acne marks over my face and it is quite old. I have tried Aloe-Vera, Coconut oil, and lemon juice also but these have not given me any results also i get new pimple marks frequently. Please suggest me some convenient way to get rid of these marks as fast as possible.

  • It is better to use the sandal wood paste which can create smooth skin and also get rid of pimples in long run. I have also seen people applying the butter milk on the face to get rid of acne and pimples and also to have glowing face. It all depends on the user as to how they are accustomed to the new way of treating the pimples or follow the advise of elders and go the desi way to get rid of pimples. Even the besan paste can get rid of pimples.

  • You said that you have tried Aloe-Vera, Coconut oil, and lemon juice. But there is no change and no improvement is seen. There are more effective home remedies which you can try. It is not possible to get them out immediately. It will take some time.
    1. Orange Peel Powder: Mix orange peel powder with honey in 1: 1 ratio. Please mix properly. There should not be any lumps and it should be a smooth paste. Wash your face with lukewarm water and wipe the moisture with a neat towel and then apply the above paste on the area where pimples or acne are there. Wait for about 15 to 20 minutes. Then wash with lukewarm water. Continue the same every alternative day. It may take a couple of months for complete removal.
    2. Besan Powder: Take Besan powder and add required quantity of Rosewater and mix thoroughly to see that it will be a good paste. Apply the same on your face and wait for 15 to 20 minutes and then wash with normal water. Repeat the same once in two days.
    3. Tea tree oil: Take tea tree oil and mix with any mineral oil to make a perfect paste. Wash your face with normal water and dry the face with a clean towel. Then apply the same on your face. It is better to apply in the night and keep it overnight. Otherwise, you can keep it for 3 to 4 hours minimum. Then you can clean with water. This is to be continued daily for a month minimum.
    4.Apple Cider Vinegar: Mix apple cider vinegar and honey in 1: 2 ratio. If it is very thick use a little water. Apply this to your face and wait for 20 minutes. Wash with plain water.
    5. Baking Soda: Mix this with sufficient quantity of water to get the required consistency. Apply on the face and wait for 20 minutes and wash with water. Daily repeat the same.
    6. Castor Oil: This is also a good remedy for your problem. Apply a small quantity of this oil on your face in the night and keep it overnight. Then clean the face with water.
    7. Turmeric Powder: Mix this powder with lemon juice to get the paste-like consistency. Apply to the face completely. Wait for 30 minutes and then clean with water.

    If you want faster action, it is better to contact a dermatologist who will suggest the treatment. But these treatments are costly and they may have some side effects also. So I suggest going by home remedies only even though they take some time.

  • Acne or pimples erupts when the pores on our skin get clogged dirt, oil, toxins or dead skin cells causing bacteria to grow and lead to breakouts which are normally pus-filled red bumps called pimples or acne. For some, it can even get pimples due to hormonal changes which are normal but the black mark or scar that it leaves after getting a cure is worrying.

    Q: Please suggest me some convenient way to get rid of these marks as fast as possible?
    A: Some of the remedies that you can try to get rid of these marks are:
    1. Orange peel powder and Honey paste - Mix equal amount of orange peel powder with honey and mix well to make a smooth paste. Apply it on the scar area and let it remain for 15-20 minutes or till it dries. Wash it with lukewarm water and repeat it every alternate day until the marks fade. The citric acid in orange peel helps in lightening and brightening the marks while honey helps to moisturise the skin.

    2. Gram flour or besan paste - Mix gram flour, rose water and lemon juice in equal quantity and make a thick paste. Apply the paste on the scar evenly, let it dry and wash it with fresh clean water. If you have an allergy to lemon juice, you can eliminate during the preparation. Repeat it every alternate day until the marks fade for better result. Gram flour has alkalising properties, lemon juice helps in lightening and brightening the marks while rose water helps to moisturise your skin.

    3. Baking Soda paste - Take little baking soda and add few drops of water in a small bowl. Mix well and apply it on the affected area, let it dry or be on the skin for 15-20 minutes and wash it in clean water. Apply the paste once every day for better result. Baking soda has bleaching and alkaline properties help in exfoliating clogged skin pores and maintain the skin's pH balance.

    4. Turmeric powder and lemon juice Paste - Mix turmeric powder and lemon juice and make a smooth paste. Apply the paste on the scar and leave it for 20-30 minutes. Clean-off with lukewarm water and use it once every alternate day until your pimple/scar mark vanishes. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that help to reduce pigmentation on your skin and give a glowing skin.

    5. Apple Cider Vinegar and honey paste - Mix one teaspoon apple cider vinegar with two teaspoons of honey and make a paste. You can even use water if you want to dilute it and apply it on the scar. Leave it for 15-20 minutes or till it dries and wash it with clean water. Use it daily for effective result. Apple cider vinegar removes excess oils and exfoliates the skin. Honey helps to moisture the skin giving it soft, smooth and clear skin.

  • In order to take care of your pimple - issue, you have to ensure that your blood is being cleaned regularly and for this your liver must work at the optimum level. Once your body system is fully cleansed, your pimples will disappear in a natural way. You may undertake the following remedies -
    1) Include Amla Churna - You may take Amla Churna twice prior to half an hour of your principal meal. This contains enough antioxidants to support your entire body system such as abundant amount of vitamin C and B, enough chromium and calcium and some amount of folate to form new blood cells. On taking this Churna regularly for 45 days, it will strengthen your liver and cleanse your blood.
    2) Use of Haldi along with warm milk - This is the best concoction for the elimination of blood impurity due to antibacterial effect of Curcumin in Haldi.Take half tea - spoon of Haldi in a glass of warm milk and consume the same 45 minutes after your dinner regularly for 45 days so as to have its positive benifits.
    3) Use of Onion - Take enough salads of onion in your meals, this will purify your blood with thorough cleansing.
    4) You may try Safi produced by Hamdard Product containing Chirayata, Neem, saunf and other herbs purifying your blood in a natural way. This has to be taken in the dose of one tea spoon after your principal meals for 45 days.
    5) Avoid spicy food and take enough water to cleanse your system.
    6) Take Papaya, Dates, Apples regularly to strengthen your liver system so as to get rid of the pimple issue.

  • First of all I would like to suggest you do not bother yourself and keep patience because these kind of problems can take little bit more time to remove but we know nothing is stable in this world so no need to worry your pimples will also not to be stable for long time. Now I am giving you some tips which will help you to get rid of them -

    Drink Water - I know its a very common thing which everyone should tell you but believe me this is most important for you to be hydrated , 70% of the world and 80% of our body both made by water so you understand the value of drinking water.

    Stop using soaps - Do not use any soap or face wash for sometime, as you know that you have an acne problem which may cause your skin very sensitive so do not apply chemicals on you face this is why I am suggesting you to avoid soaps and face wash for some days.

    Use Face Packs - Here I am talking about home made face pack use them before you are going for bath apply any one of them face pack which I am listing out -

    A - Besan and Raw milk - mixed well and apply for 15 to 20 mints.
    B- Rice floor and Rose water - Mixed well apply for 15 to 20 mints.
    C- Masoor daal - Soak daal in water for at least 5 to 6 hours then take it out and grind it properly then apply on you face for half an hour.
    D- Multaani mitti - One of the best remedy , take a piece of multaani mitii soak it in water then mixed well make a smooth paste and apply this on you face.
    E - Neem Leaves - Neem contains antibacterial feature so you should use neem leaves on your face and also boil some water by adding neem leaves into it then let it be cold and wash your face by this water 2 to 3 times in a day.

    These were some remedies or face packs which you can apply on you face you can apply any one of them as per you choice but my suggestion is that apply one face pack one day and next day try another one.

    Another important think is whenever you go to the bed at night wash your face properly by anyone of them pack so no dirt or oil will be rest on your face then apply any soft and light moisturizing cream before sleep.
    Keep in mind we need to remove excessive oil from the skin but do not want to remove moisture of the skin so be careful and don't forget to give moisture to your skin.

    Stop eating food which may contain extra oil and spicy food also should be ignored by you, Healthy diet will help you to remove acne faster.

    Last but not the least, do not forget about deep sleep hours, when we sleep our body heals itself so sleep well do not stress be relaxed and you will get rid of these acne problem very soon.

  • If you are a girl you apply turmeric paste daily while taking bath. If you want you may add sandal paste along with the turmeric. Besides this you may 'Safi', a syrup tonic by hamdard company which is available in all medical stores as this is made of ayurvedic products, it is harmless and acts as good blood purifier.

  • Pimples or acne are basically caused by the accumulation of dead skin cells, oil and greasy materials, fine dust etc in the skin pores and the pores are partially clogged due to it. This small pore place becomes a conducive environment for the growth of a bacteria known as P. acne and while the body fights to kill these bacteria then the inflammation takes place and an acne is created. This finally leads to formation of blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples. A particular person would get acne or not it depends on many factors like genetic reasons, faulty life style and food habits, hormone changes in the body, continued high stress levels, skin infections etc.

    There is no magic potion to treat acne or pimples quickly and whatever is to be attempted is to be undertaken as a long time strategy with patience and endurance. There are many success stories where people have treated them with household and other remedies but it requires applying them for a longer time. Another thing is one remedy working with one person may not be effective in other one so there are some trial and errors also involved in this matter. We will go through these suggested remedies (including the household ones as well as others in the nature of supplements) one by one -

    1. Apple cider vinegar - It contains several organic acids having capability to kill bacteria like P. acne. This is also claimed to remove the excess oil from the skin which sometimes cause and help in acne formation. It is always to be used in diluted quantity as it can produce burns and irritation on the skin. Generally it is taken as a mixture of 1 part apple cider vinegar and 4 parts water. To be applied on the skin with a cotton ball and after 15-20 seconds one can wash the face and dry it with a clean cotton towel. This is to be done at least 2 times a day for a prolonged period at least 1-2 months.

    2. Green tea - Green tea contains some antioxidants which are claimed to fight the acne creating bacteria. For this one has to boil water and keep the green tea in it for 4-5 minutes and once it cool downs just apply it on the skin with cotton balls and let it remain like that overnight. In the morning just rinse off it with water and dry up the skin. One can prepare this and keep in fridge for 3-4 days use. If the results are good one can use it one more time in the daytime also and after applying and can rinse off it after half an hour or so. This has to be applied for quite some time that is at least 1-2 months period.

    3. Tea tree oil - This oil is well known to fight the bacteria (like P. acnes and S. epidermidis) causing the pimples. It is to be diluted with some carrier oil like coconut oil and then only to be used. Usually 1 part of this oil is to be mixed 20 parts of the carrier oil. Apply this to the skin at least 2 times per day and see that it is directly also applied to the pimples wherever they are present. Let it remain there for a few hours and then clean and dry the skin. Some people get irritation and burning sensation with this oil and if so, they should discontinue its use. This remedy is also to be used for a long time say at least a few months.

    4. Essential oils - There are many essential oils which are used for getting rid of acne and pimples. Some of these are cinnamon, rose, lavender, clove, and rosemary and are to be used for a longer time to get some benefit in this direction. To be applied 2-3 times a day.

    5. Tretinoin cream - This is a formulation based on vitamin A and is used for the treatment of acne and pimples. There are some studies that show that if this is taken in combination with Aloe vera then it is more effective. To be applied 1-2 times a day.

    6. Honey and cinnamon mask - This is also used by many people for getting rid of acne. It is available in market in many forms. Honey and cinnamon are having well known antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties which help.

    7. Take a zinc supplement - Zinc has a very important role and it helps in healing as well as helps the body in fighting with conditions of inflammation. This will require a consultation with the doctor also as the Zinc has to be taken in a limited quantity not exceeding 40 mg per day.

    8. Consume brewer's yeast - Consuming this supplement is found to be helpful as it is a good source of vitamin-B, chromium, copper, iron, and zinc.

    9. Fish oil supplement - They contain omega-3 fatty acids which help in keeping the skin hydrated and reduce acne making processes in the skin. It is advised to consume these supplements for at least 2-3 months to see any effect on the growth of pimples.

    10. Life style changes - This is something which makes a body resistant and immune to infections and definitely would not allow the growth of acne and pimples. One has to bring changes in lifestyle like doing exercises, eating healthy foods, undergoing meditation etc which of course have other health benefits also.

  • There are many household as well as branded remedies which are prescribed by the experts for getting rid of acne and pimples. I have some experience that I want to share while answering to this query. There are two major things that keep our skin glowing and in good condition. First is hygiene and second is life style. When we say hygiene then it means that whenever we come back from dusty and polluted environment we have to wash the face thoroughly using some mild soap so that the pores are cleaned perfectly. After this we have to dry up the face and then apply a thin coat of some moisturising cream. So the basic aim of this exercise is to remove all dead cells and sweat from our skin.

    Sometimes these pimples are created from the physiological and chemical process in the body and for that no outside cleaning would help and we have to make our food intake and lifestyle in such a fashion that we achieve a good health and naturally these problems would not come. In this matter what the experts suggest is to do a regular exercise and then restrict the food to as simple and as healthy as possible. Spices, chillies, junk food, sugar, liquor, smoking, and other such indulgences are to be curtailed and then one can see the real difference that is achieved in respect of getting rid of pimples and other skin deficiencies.

  • Here are some tips that you can use in addition to the tips already provided by other members -

    1) Drink plenty of water, atleast more than your body requires. Especially in the early morning. You can turn this into a routine, as soon as you wake up before going anywhere else drink atleast a glass of water.

    2) Eat more citrus fruits like oranges, berries etc. They not only help you in blood oxidation but also improve your hydration rate. Keeping your skin supple round the clock.

    3) You can go for accupuncture of face and practice face yoga. Refer to youtube on this one.

    4) Use good quality sun protection when outdoors. And lastly use natutal or herbal exholifants to remove facial excess atleast twice a week.

  • Acne or pimples are common, but they leave behind marks on skin. It's important that you keep the skin clean and clear from make-up, dirt and oils to avoid acne. Here are some ways to prevent and reduce acne at home.


    LEMON
    Cut a lemon and rub it over the skin. You can also use diluted lemon juice (with water) to cleanse and exfoliate the skin. The acidity in lemon helps to dry out acne and heal the scars.

    TEA TREE OIL
    A drop of tea tree oil will help prevent acne breakouts. Tea tree oil also works well to get rid of whiteheads and blackheads.

    CINNAMON
    Mix three tablespoons of honey with one teaspoon of cinnamon and make a face mask. Apply on the face for at least 10 minutes and wash it off thereafter.

    GREEN TEA
    Add two tablespoon of green tea leaves to a cup of water and allow them to steep for 10 minutes. Dip a cotton pad in the tea and apply it directly to the skin. Allow it to remain on the skin for 10 minutes.


    EGG
    Mix one portion of egg white with honey and apply the mixture on your skin. Allow it to remain the pack on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing.

    APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
    Mix one part apple cider vinegar with two parts distilled water. You can use this lotion as a toner on acne-prone skin.

    HONEY
    Honey is a natural antiseptic and can help heal acne scars. Dab a small amount of honey over the affected area and leave it for 30 minutes before rinsing it off.

    ICE CUBES
    You can use ice cubes to soothe inflammation and reduce redness. All you need to do is rub an ice cube on the affected area.
