OBC creamy layer and non creamy layer certificate problem

OBC Creamy layer will not come under reserved category. They are equal to the General category candidate. This differentiation is based on family income. If it is more than 4.5lakhs per annum, the candidate is considered to be belonging to the Creamy layer. OBC non-creamy layer only gets benefits for exams and jobs.
You belong to non-creamy layer but by mistake, you mentioned as a creamy layer. The time for editing the form is also over. I think you have an income certificate which will show the income of your family. When you filled the application you might have received an acknowledgement. Now what you do is send an email to the concerned department mentioning that by mistake you have filled as a creamy layer. You have to upload your income certificate and attach the same to your email. The email address you will get from the website from the site in which you filed your application. Send a copy of the same letter with a copy of income certificate to the concerned authority by registered post also. Keep a copy of the letter and original income certificate with you to show them during document verification. By seeing the proof they may consider your request.
Otherwise, you may be considered only as an OBC creamy layer candidate and you may not be entitled to any reservation benefits.

While filling up your application for RRB, a serious mistake occurred from your end incorporating your status as OBC creamy layer in lieu of OBC non creamy layer. This could be detected after the despatch of your application.
This needs to be intimated to the chairman of RRB or any authorised official acting on his behalf so that your candidature for the post you applied is not rejected because of that lapse. You may undertake the following initiatives at the earliest-
1) Take the route of email and send an email to the concerned authority stating that a mistake has occurred in respect of wrong entry of OBC status showing yourself being a creamy layer wrongly though basically you are a non creamy layer OBC. Email address can be traced out from the website. In support of your evidence, your scanned copy of income certificate by being a non creamy layer of OBC is to be emailed as well.
2) Send an application indicating your mistake at the earliest to the authorised officer through the speed post attached with an acknowledgment receipt with your address so that it reaches to you once it reaches to the office with the signature of authorised officer. Retain the same as your proof to be shown to the officer checking your documents prior to your selection. By that time, keep all your original documents ready.

You have done a mistake in the application form and that cannot be edited at the present juncture. So, the only recourse is to inform them about it and send the supporting document by email or by registered post. In this connections you might be knowing that while applying for RRB vacancies you have to mention the zone where you are applying as RRB has 21 zones for ease of recruitment process. If you know the address, email or Phone number of their office or helpline you can contact them. You must write an application to them in email or physical form accepting your inadvertent mistake and apologise for that and then request them to change your category from OBC creamy layer to OBC non-creamy layer.

Please note that whatever data you send to them now to show your candidature under OBC non-creamy layer, a copy of same is to be preserved by you for the time of document verifications if you are called for that.
