    Can you please help me in getting information regarding admission test pattern for Dhirubhai Ambani International School (in Mumbai) Entrance Exams (for admission to 8th Standard) for international IGCSE board.

    I know that candidates are required to appear for an Aptitude Test (with duration of 2 hrs 30 m) and it covers English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, and General Awareness.
    I would like to know that whether the patterns is more like multiple choice questions. Are there any questions requiring descriptive answer?
    Also, is Hindi a mandatory subject to exam - can one opt for french etc as Hindi is not part of current curriculum for the child.

    Any information on this is highly appreciated.

  • 1..In the entrance examination, you have to write both multiple-choice questions as well as descriptive type questions also. There are some 3 marks questions and there are 4 marks questions also. All these questions are to be answered.
    2. I believe that Hindi is a compulsory subject and no other option for this.

    I will ask her to prepare for both types of questions. I shall also get in touch with school authorities for clarification on Hindi.

  • For admission to Class VIII, Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai invites the eligible candidates (the student must have successfully completed Class VII and should have been promoted to Class VIII from a recognised school) for an online Aptitude test and generally it is held in the month of November. The academic session starts in the month of April. The application for admission is to be made online in the school portal.

    Earlier this Aptitude test was conducted in physical mode but due to corona threat it is being done in online mode. This aptitude test is objective type with multiple choice answers and will contain questions from the subjects English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, and General Awareness. The duration of the test is about 2 to 3 hours. The successful short listed candidate will be informed by mail and mobile regarding attending an interactive session with the school management.

  • Dhirubhai Ambani International School is known for its academic excellence in both the patterns ICSE mode and IGCSE one and the later is recognised internationally.
    The following are the essential criterias for admission to class 8 in the IGCSE pattern-
    1) The candidate must have passed class seven from a recognised school prior to joining Dhirubhai International School.
    2) The application form has to be filled up available in the office of the school or a request for the same may be made online either by the guardian or the candidate.
    3) The candidate has to self attest his date of birth.
    4) An application form has to be submitted by the candidate indicating his preference for this particular institution giving details not exceeding 500 words. This is an essential part during the process of admission.
    5) The candidate has to clear the aptitude test containing subjects English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science and General Awareness mostly objective type of questions will be covered and the time span for the test is three hours. Later an interactive session will follow where both the student and guardian will be interviewed to assess the suitability of the admission of the ward.
    6) Every effort has to be made by the student to perform well in both aptitude test and the interactive session.
    7) Production of a certificate indicating the sport activities of the candidate including his participation in co - curricular programmes would be a plus point for the candidate.

  • Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai offers two curricula - ICSE and IGCSE for 8th Standard. Both curricula academic session for 2021-22 will start in April 2021. For admission to 8th Standard in Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai the main eligibility criteria are the student must have passed Class 7th from a recognized school and must have been promoted to the next class. Application form for admission is available online and can be filled by login at https://www.dais.edu.in/admissions.html. The desired stream (ICSE and IGCSE) is to be filled in the online application form.

    The admission procedure will include Aptitude Test and Interaction that will be conducted online. The candidate who will be declared successful in the aptitude test will only be called for an interactive session online. However, for session 2021-22 admission procedure has already been closed.

Olympiad exams are very useful to identify students ability and increase their analytical, logical and problem-solving skills so that they will be prepared for competitive exams. For the preparation of Olympiad exams, there are many websites available which provide resources free or on a paid basis. Besides, upon registration for an Olympiad exam for a subject SOF or Unified Council also provide resource material. You can buy books for Olympiad from Amazon or Flipkart also.
