  • If you are preparing for UPSESSB exam TGT Maths, first, you must understand the exam pattern. For the selection of TGT teachers, UPSESSB conducts
    1. Written Test
    2. Personal Interview
    In the official notification, UPSESSB also discloses the number of vacancies in each subject.
    Written test includes a total of 125 questions from concerned subject. Each question will be of 4 marks. Hence, total marks will be 500. Exam duration will be 120 minutes or 2 hours.

    The TGT Maths exam includes all types of question i.e. easy. moderate and difficult. To check the difficulty level the best option is to solve the previous years question papers. These question papers are easily available online and offline. You can buy a UPTGT Mathematics Solved Papers online from Amazon or Flipkart. UPTGT Mathematics Solved Papers are published by several publications like Sahitya Bhawan Publication, Shanti Devi Publications, RPH Editorial Board etc. By solving these paper you will be able to analyze the important topics also.

    Usually cut-off merit goes high in UP TGT exams. So you will have to work hard.

    After written test, there will be a personal interview. The candidates who will be declared selected in the written test will be called for interview.

    For final selection will be done based on the marks obtained in written test and personal interview. The marks distribution will be as follows:
    1. Written examination-85%
    2. Personal Interview -10 %
    3. Special Qualification -5% (PhD or M.Phil- 2%, M.Ed- 2%, B.Ed- 1%)
    Merit will be prepared on the basis of written test and personal interview and special qualification (if any).

  • If interested to qualify TGT Mathematics for UPSESSB, it would be the first task for you understand the pattern of the said examination. This test comprises two portions the first one is the written test and the clearing the same, you have to turn up for the oral for your further evaluation of aptitude and talent in the same subject.
    The questions would cover objective types containing four alternatives answers of a question and you need to tick the correct answer and ticking the wrong answer would award you minus one mark where as for the correct answer, you would awarded plus four marks. The duration of the examination is of two hours containing full 500 marks.

  • Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board (UPSESSB) conducts the entrance exam for recruitment of TGT teachers and candidates having a graduation degree in the subject (Mathematics in this case) and B.Ed/BTC or any other equivalent training certificate are eligible to apply for it.

    The entrance exam consists of MCQ questions on General Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Mathematics (Concerned Subject in this case). The total number of questions are 125 to be completed in 2 hours time.

    For having an idea of the cut off score in your subject please go to the UPSESSB site where you can find the cut off belonging to last years specifically for the year 2020 which will give some idea as how much one has to score to get success in this endeavour.

  • It is a long process test, for this, the total marks are divided in the following way -

    85% in Written Examination (for both TGT)
    10% in the personal interview
    5% for Special Qualification
    A total of 20 questions will be asked from the Teaching Aptitude section in all UPSESSB recruitment exams.

    Some of the common topics that you need knowledge about - knowledge of the nature of the child, knowledge of the subject, the effect of the teacher and his teaching, methods of his methods for presenting the subject under the student, general principle of teaching, knowledge of teaching formula, Helpful material in teaching, the importance of ICT in teaching, etc.
    Keep some points while preparing for entrance exams -
    1. Prepare for the exam with practice sample papers or previous year's solved papers.
    Practice mock test papers and practice all the questions to bring perfection to your efforts.
    2. you must analyze any mock test. This will give you an idea about your preparation for the exam and then make a strategy accordingly.
    3. Speed is a very important factor when solving a question paper as well as saving time for revision. Regular practice of questions can increase your speed.
    4. Understand the pattern of the question paper for the Teaching Aptitude section of UPSESSB.

    5. Regularly revise the most important topics and make written notes.
