In the official notification, UPSESSB also discloses the number of vacancies in each subject.
Written test includes a total of 125 questions from concerned subject. Each question will be of 4 marks. Hence, total marks will be 500. Exam duration will be 120 minutes or 2 hours.

After written test, there will be a personal interview. The candidates who will be declared selected in the written test will be called for interview.

For final selection will be done based on the marks obtained in written test and personal interview. The marks distribution will be as follows:
1. Written examination-85%
2. Personal Interview -10 %
3. Special Qualification -5% (PhD or M.Phil- 2%, M.Ed- 2%, B.Ed- 1%)

Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board (UPSESSB) conducts the entrance exam for recruitment of TGT teachers and candidates having a graduation degree in the subject (Mathematics in this case) and B.Ed/BTC or any other equivalent training certificate are eligible to apply for it.

The entrance exam consists of MCQ questions on General Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Mathematics (Concerned Subject in this case). The total number of questions are 125 to be completed in 2 hours time.

It is a long process test, for this, the total marks are divided in the following way -

85% in Written Examination (for both TGT)
10% in the personal interview
5% for Special Qualification
A total of 20 questions will be asked from the Teaching Aptitude section in all UPSESSB recruitment exams.
