Why TOEFL or IELTS necessary for further study in abroad?

There are some countries where English is the native language and they speak English only as their main Language. There are some non-English speaking countries. India is one among such nations. The English speaking countries always want students to have good standards and knowledge of English. So they want to test the candidate's skills not only in spoken language but also in literary English. IELTS and TOEFL are the two examinations that will test the English Language knowledge of an individual. That is why some universities and some countries ask for this qualification for the students who want to study in their country. If the candidate's language knowledge is not up to the mark they may not consider the candidate for admission.
Both the examinations are equal almost but some feel scoring in TOEFL is a little difficult than IELTS.
Both exams will have four papers: Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing. The candidate's answers are partly assessed for linguistic complexity and sophistication. Both exams use multiple choice and multiple matching questions in the listening paper, multiple-choice in the reading paper, and ask candidates to write an essay.
The IELTS will be giving grades on a band system from 1-9. The grade will be decided on the average mark from all four papers. The overall score will be rounded to the nearest half-band, TOEFL is a single test and is graded out of 120 points
