  • BE in Electrical and Electronics with 5 years experience. You passed your B.E in 2015. That means it is more than 5 years since you passed the degree.
The work you have done all these days may be different and may not be much useful for the IT sector. Another hitch is IT industries will not consider taking people who graduated long back.
I suggest you continue in the same field and try for changing the company. If you get a good job in a good company you will get a good hike. If you continue in the same field for a longer period you will feel this problem. But you change the job you will get some good gain.
Still, if you feel you want to consider going to acquire a job in the IT field try to do some certificate courses on a part-time basis and with that additional qualification you can try. You can think of some certificate courses in languages like C, C+ etc which may be useful for getting a job in the related areas.
If you still have the age you can try for a job in Banks. Bank jobs are also good and they are very nicely rewarding.

  • Electrical Engineering is itself a very big area where there are ample job opportunities as well as career-making streams. You have somehow not got a good experience in this line and so you might be thinking to leave it and search for other greener pastures. In such a situation one has to be very cautious and particular and until one gains appropriate enough skills in the other area one should not think of leaving the present job where one has the core strength. Anyway, when it becomes a question of one's livilihood then one has to take adequate care of one's present job.
Let us now move to your question of whether you can shift to the IT software area or not and if yes then what are the options. First thing is are you simply infatuated by the discipline 'Software' or you have some preparation in this regard to embark upon that new journey in your career. What are your existing proficiencies in the software world and what are those that you want to acquire now to make a career in this new but niche area? You are the best person to answer this but let me start from the beginning that the software area is definitely very lucrative but it requires commensurate hard work and efforts to make a glorious career in it. You will have to learn some basic coding practices and languages before starting to work in a professional way. Understanding computer systems and networking has become mandatory and necessary for becoming successful in the IT field.
There are many areas and subdisciplines where opportunities are there for the IT people and some of these are - Web designing, Mobile applications, Animation and graphics, Digital marketing, Data science, Cloud computing, Networking, Hardware maintenance etc. For entering these domains one has to do some certificate or diploma course and then join an industry. Please note that till one gains experience and knowledge in these areas it would be dificult to progress further. Generally, people will join some group of persons doing a project and then learn from there the intricacies of IT work and then only can think of doing the job independently. In major IT companies generally the jobs are done on a modular basis by dividing them between different groups and then the team leader will assemble the whole thing as per the customer satisfaction and requirement.
So, before switching to IT field it would be desirable to think over and consider all these points which are necessary to enter any new field for making a career.
As regards the acquiring of necessary learnings in software area, nowadays there are plenty of online and offline training institutes where one can acquire these basic elements of knowledge for preparing oneself for the new area and new challenges. There is a good listing and details of many such institutes in this portal itself and if desired one can go through that information.

    Knowledge is power.

  • You have passed out BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2015 and so far you be accumulated five years experience in this line but you don't see any remarkable progress while continuing the present job and as such you want to have a switch over of this job in the software line for your accelerated career growth.
I would request you do some homework before you make up your mind for the exit of the present job so that you may take up software line with a fresh interview. There are a few points which need immediate attention prior to switch over your job. The following points may please be seen -
    1) You have not indicated the organisation with which you are engaged. It might be a private company offering you less pay package since the company is constantly getting work force in the prevailing pay package without difficulties and in that case why they would be interested to offer you more. If this is the philosophy of the company, you will have to look out some other organisations especially the Public Undertaking Units where they pay substantially to the deserving candidates. To name a few, BHEL, DVC, ONGC, Coal India etc are the best companies offering you attractive package with your existing experience. You may take the help of the help of job consultants in this regard.
    2) You need to understand the philosophy of IT companies. Of course, they are the best pay masters but they would like to recruit a fresh candidate having passed their engineering course this year or in the worst case they have obtained this degree in the last year. They do maintain an interview process comprising of multiple sessions such as written, oral, aptitude tests, communication skills, mental strength etc. In your case, they would be no more interested.
    3) If at all, you are not satisfied with the present assignment and you still think that switchover is the only solution, think of acquiring some certification which might fascinate you such as Java, Oracle, C++, Networking, Pythons etc. In the present time, software companies are doing extremely well having abundant projects in their hands. You may go through the referral scheme provided you know an executive working in the higher post of any reputed IT company.

  • As mentioned above, you have passed BE in electrical engineering in 2015. So, you have been doing the job for 5 years. So, you are having experience of more than 5 years. And you want to switch over this job because of not good salary package. It would not be a prudent decision to leave the present job because if you leave this job then your experience will be waste. So, Instead of changing your niche area, you should try for a better company in the same field where a good salary package is offered like IOC, HPCL etc. You didn't give detail about the company with which you are engaged. I think It might be a private company but you should try for a good company where a good salary package is provided. One thing you should keep in mind before switching over this job. IT sector always demand freshers and your qualification is old so you would not be suitable for IT sector. After considering all these points, if you are not satisfied with your present job and want to shift to the IT sector then you will have to do some diploma course or certificate course. Some of them are as follows:-
    1. Web designing,
    2. Networking
    3. Animation and graphics
    4. Digital marketing
    5. Data science
    6. Hardware maintenance
    7. Mobile application.
After completing this course, you can try for the IT sector.

  • You must have taken the decision of engineering in electrical with some purpose and only then you have given your important and valuable 5 years for this course, then in such a situation, now you are feeling less of a career option in this field. The reason for this may also be your confusion, do not forget your main objective before taking any decision. By the way, a career can also be made in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, for these very good job opportunities and scope are presently present. As an Electrical and Electronics Engineer, you can work in all those industries which are related to Product Development, Control Systems, Communication, Manufacturing, Chemical, Automotive, and Space, etc.
Still, if you want to change your field, then in the field of software, you can make your career in this direction through various diploma courses. Some of the important job oriented courses are -
Web Designing - One of the best computer courses for a job in the software sector is the course of web designing. After this course, there is a good scope of job in companies. In web designing courses, you should have a hold on some languages which are also given during the course.
Animation Course - VFX and Animation is one of the best courses for you and the demand for animation professionals is also increasing, this course will prove to be a good job for you.
Post Graduation Course - If you are planning to do PG, then this is also a good solution, you can also go to this field by doing M.Tech in IT or software.

  • Since you have completed Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, plus five years work experience and observing 'no' growth in your career, I suggest you to do AutoCAD course for Electrical and Electronics discipline.

AutoCAD Diploma or Certification course for BEEE would help you to get more idea and change your career for sure. Some Civil and Mechanical Degree / Diploma holders who had done the AutoCAD course beside their curriculum have got good placement and settled well in local and abroad. You can try it.

Other than this, if you are really like to go with the Software career then you could do it so. Before that make sure the Software course to select to learn considering the current and future demand.

Today's learning Software subject may be outdated tomorrow as it has had happened for some Software in the past. So, select it carefully and try to get a job. Also, ignore the past experience, and be confident that you would get a Software job in at least a small firm that would help you to get work experience and grow further.
