  • Is it Ok to do D.El.Ed and BA together with results later out in the same year

Unsure whether to take up a D.El.Ed, course while doing B.A. since the results of both will be out in the same year? Find out if this is not an issue and know what are other options that you can consider.

I am in the first year of graduation in a correspondence course of 2021. The applications for D.El.Ed this year is closed. I want to know whether I can take admission in the D.El.Ed. course in the second year of my graduation, that is, in 2022. That way, the final result of both B.A. and D.El.Ed. will be out together in the same year, namely, in 2024. Will it be valid then, or will there be some issue with having the same passing year of both these courses? Also, should I take admission or not in D.El. Ed. or should I take admission in a B.Ed. course after completing graduation?

  • MY QUESTION IS SHOULD I START MY D.EL.ED IN SECOND OF GRADUATION TOGETHER OR NOT IS IT VALID IF RESULT OF BOTH COURSES COMES IN SAME YEAR

  • Relating your doubt regarding the results of the two courses coming out simultaneously is not likely to affect your career span for the post of the primary teacher.
Hence you may start D. El. Ed while continuing your second year of graduation.
Considering your graduation course in the regular mode and the diploma being a regular course, it is not violating the existing UGC norm.
You have to ensure that both the courses are cleared with at least 55% marks so that you qualify the minimum eligibility criteria for the post of a teacher especially when you would make a plan of B.Ed course later.

  • You are doing your graduation course in correspondence mode and now you want to additionally do the D.El.Ed. course while pursuing your second year of graduation. So you would be doing two courses simultaneously that is one through correspondence and the second one as regular. This combination is very well allowed as per the UGC stipulations. Hence you can go ahead in the matter and complete your both the courses scoring as per the best of your capabilities.
Generally, doing two courses will be strenuous and require much hard work and it can so happen that you might not be able to score high in both the courses. So you have to take a view on this situation and if you are sure that you can do the requisite hard work then you can very well go ahead with that plan of taking up two courses simultaneously.

    Knowledge is power.

  • There would not be a problem in doing both courses simultaneously. But as per UGC norms, one course should be in regular mode and another course from distance mode. Currently, you are doing graduation in correspondence mode then you can apply for D.EL.ED. It completely depends on you whether you are capable or not. If you do both courses together then you will have to do hard work for getting good marks. In such a case sometimes the candidate would not concentrate on both courses equally so there may chance to scoreless in one course. So, once you think before taking up your new course. As far as result declaration year is concerned, It doesn't affect your job because both are valid.
