Scholarship for Higher Study in New Zealand

New Zealand is a well-deserved destination for students to pursue their higher studies. There are many scholarships are available. There are some scholarships that are applicable to all universities that are being offered by the government of New Zealand. The details are as given below.

1. New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships (NZIDRS): These scholarships are for Indian students who want to pursue their PhD in that country. This will include reimbursement of university fees and stipend up to NZ$25,000 and health insurance coverage up to NZ$600 annually for three years.

2. New Zealand Commonwealth Scholarships. This scholarship is for PG courses and PhD courses. The fees to be paid will be reimbursed and a stipend of NZD 491 per week will be given for living expenses. Medical insurance and travel insurance premiums will be paid.

There are some more fellowships that are being offered by universities separately and some such award details are given below.
1. University of Auckland Doctoral Scholarship. This fellowship is being offered by the University of Auckland. The amount that is being offered is NZD 28500.
2. The Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust Dame Dorothy Winstone Doctoral Completion Award. This fellowship is also being offered by the University of Auckland only. The amount that is being offered is NZD 16000
3. University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship. This scholarship is being offered by the University of Otago and the value of the fellowship is NZD 27000
4. University of Otago City of Literature PhD Scholarship. This is offered by the University of Otago and the amount that is being given is NZD 27000.
5. UC Doctoral Scholarship. This is being offered by the University of Canterbury. Under this fellowship, the student will get the complete fees reimbursement and a stipend of Rs.21000/-
6. Doctoral Graduate Women Canterbury Trust Board Scholarship. This fellowship is also from the University of Canterbury only and the amount is Rs,27000
7. AUT Doctoral Scholarship. Auckland University of Technology is offering this fellowship and the amount is NZD 25000
